Blossoming Peach Trees?

Could you tell me when peach trees start to blossom, and how lond does it take to mature fruit. I live in up state NY your help would be greatly appreciated. thanks. Gerard

Hi Gerard,

Each species of peach is different. They have what is called chilling hours that are need for the tree to break dormancy. The less chilling hours required would be a tree that will produce in the tropics. The more chilling hours would be more northern varieties. A peach tree can produce fruit its 3rd year.
