Introducing our NEW! - Wildflower seed kits.

At Greenwood we have formulated exclusively for our customers custom wildflower seed kits.

  • One 6oz. bag of pure seed without filler sealed in a zip lock bag for reuse and storage. One 6oz bag will cover 1000-1200 sq. ft. depending on the mix.
  • One 12oz. bag of filler to mix with seed at time of planting. Use 2 parts filler for 1 part seed.

Seed will need to be properly diluted and put into a spreader for best coverage and even distribution.

Why purchase wildflower seed that I have to mix with filler?

Most wildflower seeds are sold in bags or tubs that contain filler. If the seed is not used right away or is stored for too long, the filler takes the moisture out of the seed and the seed declines in viability. Use only the seed you need for the job and then as long as the bag is resealed and kept in a cool dark place, it can be stored for years without losing viability.
