Muscadines - Two Year Bareroot - Large 3 to 4 foot
It is important to remember that Muscadines are either female or self-fertile. Self-fertile vines will bear fruit if planted alone. Female vines must be planted within 50 feet of a self-fertile Muscadine in order to bear fruit. One self-fertile Muscadine will pollinate up to 3 females vines. It does not matter what color you pollinate with, they will all stay true to what they are. Even if you choose a self-fertile variety, consider planting another variety nearby for even more fruit production. All Muscadines bloom at the same time even though they may bear fruit at different times. Fruit yield: Female-60 lbs per vine. Self-fertile-80 lbs per vine. Plants begin bearing fruit in 2 to 3 years. Zones 7-10.
